Chris Standring is a contemporary jazz recording artist, after spending 15 years as a touring sideman and studio guitarist in London and Los Angeles. He has recorded for several record labels as an artist including Sonic Images, Instinct Records and more recently Mesa/Bluemoon Recordings. "Velvet", released 1998 reached number 9 in the national US NAC radio charts. "Hip Sway", released 2000 reached number 2 in the charts and opened up a busy touring schedule across the country. "Groovalicious" featuring superstar trumpeter Chris Botti was released to international acclaim in 2003 and now "Soul Express" hits the streets 2006. Chris is now successful in the UK (his homeland) and performs there in concert venues annually. His music appears on many compilation CDs also.

Chris is also the founder of A&R Online (www.aandronline.com) where unsigned artists are selected and presented to major and independent labels on a monthly basis. It is also a vast resource for music business education.
